Most stock doesn’t arrive with a barcode you can use
Branded packets come with a printed barcode. Almost nothing else does — loose goods, repacked items, anything you make yourself, and plenty of wholesale stock arrives with no code at all, or a code that means nothing to your system.
So the price gets written on with a marker, and billing goes back to hunting for the item by name while a queue builds. Worse, the sticker on the shelf and the rate in the software slowly stop agreeing.
Printing your own labels fixes both ends of that. The label carries a barcode your system recognises, and the MRP printed on it comes from the same item record you bill from — so the sticker and the software cannot disagree.
How it works
Design once, print whenever
Pick your label size
Start from a standard template — 50 × 25 mm suits the common two-across thermal roll — or set the label size, margins and padding yourself if your stationery is different.
Design the label
Build it up in rows. A row can hold the barcode or text, and text can be fixed (your brand name), pulled from the item (name, MRP, code), or both together.
Choose the item and print
Save the design as a template, then pick any item, set how many copies you need, and print. The item’s own details fill into the label automatically.
What goes on the label is up to you
A label is built from rows. Some rows say the same thing on every sticker; others change with whichever item you print.
Fixed text
Typed once and printed on every label — your shop or brand name, or a line like “MRP:” before the figure.
Item fields
Name, MRP, code and your own custom fields — pulled from the item you select, so one design serves your whole catalogue.
