What is QR code ordering in a restaurant?
QR table ordering lets your guests order without waiting for anyone. A small QR code sits on each table. The customer points their phone camera at it, your menu opens in their browser, they tap the dishes they want and place the order. That is it — no app download, no sign-up.
For a small restaurant this solves a very real problem: in the lunch rush there are never enough hands. Guests wave for attention, orders get delayed, and a captain can only be at one table at a time. With contactless QR menu ordering, twenty tables can order at the same moment and every order arrives correctly, in the customer’s own words.

Print a QR for each table
KhataBuddy generates one QR code per table. Print them, put them in a stand or stick them on the table — you only do this once.
Guest scans and orders
The customer at Table 5 scans the code with their phone camera. Your menu opens in their browser with categories, dishes and prices. They add “2 Masala Dosa, 2 Filter Coffee” and tap Place Order.
Order reaches the kitchen and the bill
The order shows up for your biller, goes to the kitchen as a KOT for Table 5, and joins that table’s running bill. Guests can scan again to order more.
Settle the bill
When guests are done, your biller makes the bill as usual — GST or non-GST, with a UPI QR — and the customer pays at the counter or by scanning the UPI code.
